- Kazzer signed to
Epic records in New
York in 2002 and had
his debut release ‘Go
for Broke” released
in 12 international
countries including
Germany, France and
Scandinavia. The album
hit stores in Canada
on April 1 st 2003.
- Kazzer is so skilled
at the sport of Judo
that he made the Canadian
National Judo Team and
was an alternate for
the 2000 Olympics.
- Kazzer grew up in
rural Binbrook, ON outside
of Hamilton, ON.
- The music for Kazzer’s
first single “
Pedal to the Metal”
was co-written by Brian
West (formerly of the
Philosopher Kings and
Grammy nominated for
co-producing Nelly Furtado’s
debut album).
- The video for “Pedal
to the Metal”
was added by Much Music
into heavy rotation
out of the box and medium
rotation to MTV Europe.
- “Pedal to the
Metal” was used
in the trailer and key
chase scene for the
major motion picture
“ The Italian
Job” staring Mark
Wahlberg and Cherise
Theron.
- It was also used
in the action movie
“ Catch that
Girl”
- It was also used
recently as a theme
on TV during Olympic
coverage and it
appeared on an episode
of “Malcolm
in the Middle”
last year.
- He kicked off a New
York jets game playing
at Giant stadium in
front of 50,000 football
fans.
- In Chicago, Kazzer
and his band were the
opening act to two sold
out concerts for the
Roots. Kazzer’s
high-energy performance
won over the astonished
crowd and had them cheering
in their seats.
- Kazzer is currently
host of his own TV show
called “Sports
Car Revolution”
on the SPEED channel.
Shown all across North
America and now filming
season two, Kazzer has
been contracted for
17 episodes for next
season with his new
single to be used as
the theme of the show.
Last season “Pedal
to the Metal”
was used as the theme
of the show.
- The just released
Much movie called “Going
the Distance”
features Kazzer with
a speaking part. Kazzer
is hilarious as he plays
a red neck yahoo.
- Kazzer toured across
Canada three times promoting
his last album and also
played concerts and
festivals in Europe
last summer.
- Kazzer also toured
across America in the
fall of 2002 and played
40 college dates.
- Kazzer has now signed
with Linus Entertainment
for Canada and his new
single called “Won’t
Back Down” drops
early 05 with an album and video to follow.
- Kazzer to be on the road most of
the year starting with his first performance of the year at speedorama
in Toronto on January 29th.
